Medicaid is a form of health insurance available for those who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government provided insurance coverage. Whether or not somebody is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend on income however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify because they make a fair income. As an example, people who have quite a few dependents may qualify for Medicaid even if they earn what might be described as a reasonable income. Medicaid also can cover the costs of rehabilitation, if someone has been abusing alcohol or drugs and needs rehabilitation. There are lots of alcohol and drug treatment facilities which accept Medicaid, but various states have distinct guidelines for what kinds of rehabilitation are covered. Some states only include outpatient rehab services for instance while other states cover more extensive treatment like a residential stay in long-term alcohol and drug rehab center. If someone is involved with drug abuse and wants help, they can use their Medicaid insurance coverage to obtain this help. If they don't have Medicaid plus don't have the cash or another form of medical insurance to cover rehab, they could check if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then enroll in a drug treatment center which is approved in their state.
