Medicare is a kind of health care insurance developed by the U.S. government for seniors, in addition to individuals with specific disabilities and diseases. If an individual who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only real exception is, the individual will need to acquire treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehabilitation, they will also have to see their physician who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve what sort of rehabilitation the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual must be in a hospital for problem, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
