Dual diagnosis rehabs are centers which deliver rehabilitation to address both addiction and mental health concerns concurrently. Rehabilitation counselors will continue to work to recognize environmental issues in the client's life such as negative relationships or any other things which must be addressed in order for the individual to remain mentally stable and abstinen t once they leave dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral rehab that helps them develop far better coping methods so they are able to better deal with life situations more effectively once they leave dual diagnosis rehab as opposed to returning to alcohol and drugs as a possible answer.
