Hearing impaired individuals generally have a greater chance of drug abuse issues due to their impairment, and rehabilitation services have to be available to them which serves their circumstances. Those who are hearing impaired can seem to be isolated, lack motivation, and goalless for their impairment. Group therapy offers a forum for important peer interactions so that treatment clients can know that they're not alone, and that there's hope to resolve their problem with drugs and alcohol.
