Medicare is a kind of medical health insurance designed by the U.S. government for older persons, in addition to people who have certain disabilities and illnesses. When someone that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only real exception is, the person will have to receive treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin treatment, they will also have to see their doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual should be in a hospital for his or her issue, and also the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
