Medicare is a type of health care insurance designed by the government for seniors, along with people who have certain disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only real catch is, the person must obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start treatment, they will also have to see their physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve which kind of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment solutions. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual needs to be hospitalized because of their issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
