Medicare is a form of medical health insurance designed by the federal government for seniors, in addition to those that have specific disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The only exception is, the individual will have to acquire treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehab, they may also have to visit their medical doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically necessary, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual needs to be hospitalized for his or her issue, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
