Medicaid is a type of medical insurance available for those who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government provided insurance coverage. Whether someone qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon income however, and people shouldn't assume they don't qualify because they earn a reasonable income. For example, individuals who have many dependents may be eligible for Medicaid even if they earn what can certainly be a fair income. Medicaid may also cover the price of rehab, when someone has been abusing alcohol or drugs and requires rehab. There are several drug rehabilitation facilities which accept Medicaid, but various states have distinct rules for what forms of rehab are covered. Some states only cover outpatient rehabilitation services for example while other states cover more extensive treatment like a residential stay in long-term drug rehabilitation center. If anyone is involved in drug use and needs help, they could use their Medicaid health coverage to obtain this treatment. If they don't have Medicaid and also don't have enough cash or another form of medical health insurance to cover rehab, they can see if they qualify for Medicaid and then sign up for a drug rehab program that's approved in their state.
