Medicare is a form of medical health insurance created by the government for older persons, and also people with specific disabilities and illnesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only catch is, the person will need to obtain treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start treatment, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the physician will usually approve which kind of rehabilitation the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of treatment providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual has to be hospitalized because of their issue, and also the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
