Medicaid is a form of health care insurance available for individuals who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government funded insurance coverage. Whether somebody is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only determined by income however, and people shouldn't assume they don't qualify just because they make a good income. For example, individuals who have many dependents may be eligible for Medicaid even when they make what can be described as a sensible income. If someone is involved in substance abuse and wants help, they are able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to obtain this help. If they don't have Medicaid and in addition don't have the funds or some other kind of health care insurance to cover rehabilitation, they could determine if they qualify for Medicaid and then sign up for a drug rehabilitation center which is approved within their state.
