Medicare is a type of medical insurance designed by the U.S. government for older persons, as well as people who have certain disabilities and diseases. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The one catch is, the person must receive treatment from your drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence treatment, they may also have to see their medical doctor who must state that treatment services are medically essential, and the physician will generally approve what type of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual must be in a hospital for their problem, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
