Medicare is a form of health insurance designed by the federal government for older folks, along with people who have specific disabilities and sicknesses. When someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The one exception is, the individual will have to obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start treatment, they can also get to see their doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically essential, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual should be in a hospital for their issue, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
