This can be an extremely tough or painful way to live, and leads many LGBT people to a life of drug abuse to numb this pain. Someone that is LGBT may not feel relaxed inside a traditional rehabilitation program amongst individuals who aren't experiencing the same challenges they may be experiencing within their lives. A LGBT program provides an environment that's free of judgment, where LGBT clients can feel totally safe and comfortable divulging to their peers and rehab counselors issues which have to be handled to be able to recover.
