Medicaid is a form of medical health insurance available for those who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government funded insurance. Whether somebody qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only determined by income however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify because they earn a fair income. For example, people who have quite a few dependents may qualify for Medicaid regardless of whether they earn what might be described as a sensible income. Medicaid may also cover the costs of rehab, if a person has been abusing drugs or alcohol and requires rehabilitation. There are many drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities which accept Medicaid, but various states have different guidelines for what forms of treatment are covered. Some states only include outpatient treatment services as an example while other states cover more intensive rehabilitation say for example a residential stay in long-term alcohol and drug treatment center. If somebody is involved in drug abuse and wants help, they could use their Medicaid health coverage to get this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid plus don't have enough cash or another form of medical insurance to cover rehabilitation, they can find out if they qualify for Medicaid and then enroll in a drug rehabilitation center which is approved inside their state.
