A group home for somebody who has tbeen involved with drug and alcohol abuse is a facility which provides continual support and assistance for people in recovery. A group home is typically for troubled adolescents, but there are also group homes for folks with a mental health problem or who are experiencing behavioral trouble for example. As opposed to sending people who are struggling with drug abusedrug use or recovering from substance abuse to an orphanage, asylum or any other similar facility, a group home might help provide an acceptable environment to help sustain stability within their lives and still have counsel and support within reach around the clock. People who reside in the group home could be getting involved in rehabilitation services during residence, or could be taking actions to get their life set up outside the group home to enable them to at some time live independently outside of the group home.
