Medicaid is a medical health insurance available for those who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government funded insurance. Whether a person qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only determined by their earnings however, and individuals shouldn't presume they don't qualify simply because they earn a fair income. For example, people who have quite a few dependents may be eligible for Medicaid even when they earn what might be described as a sensible income. Medicaid can also cover the expenses of rehabilitation, if a person has been abusing alcohol or drugs and needs rehabilitation. There are many drug treatment programs which accept Medicaid, but different states have different rules for what types of rehabilitation are covered. Some states only cover outpatient rehabilitation services for example while other states cover more intensive treatment say for example a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehab program. If somebody is involved with substance abuse and desires help, they're able to use their Medicaid health coverage to get this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid and in addition don't have the cash or any other type of medical insurance to cover rehabilitation, they can see if they qualify for Medicaid and then enroll in a drug rehabilitation program that is approved in their state.
