Medicare is a type of health insurance developed by the government for older folks, as well as people with certain disabilities and sicknesses. When someone that has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The one exception is, the individual must acquire treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehab, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will usually approve what sort of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of treatment providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual must be in a hospital for his or her problem, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
