TRICARE is medical health insurance that's offered to individuals in the military of the United States. Drug abuse inside the military is a lot more common than one would think, and the necessity to provide rehabilitation to these individuals is a priority. TRICARE covers a number of treatment services to address drug and alcohol dependence including detoxification services, along with treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. Those that have TRICARE will obviously have to obtain a prior authorization before taking part in any type of treatment service, which can be organized using their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient program will be the preferred rehab choice, TRICARE will cover a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in this center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits regarding just how long a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30-45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy that may be very helpful, as it could help include family members in the healing and process of recovery. No member of the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are skilled rehab counselors waiting to help you today.
