Medicare is a type of medical health insurance designed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, in addition to people who have certain disabilities and sicknesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the person must obtain treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehab, they can also get to visit their doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve what sort of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation solutions. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual has to be hospitalized because of their issue, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
