Medicare is a form of medical health insurance created by the U.S. government for seniors, in addition to people with specific disabilities and diseases. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only real catch is, the person will need to obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin treatment, they will also have to see their doctor who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual has to be in a hospital for his or her issue, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
