Medicare is a form of medical insurance designed by the federal government for older persons, and also people with specific disabilities and illnesses. If someone who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only real catch is, the individual will need to obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin treatment, they may also have to visit their physician who must declare that rehab services are medically essential, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment solutions. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual should be in a hospital for their issue, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
