A group home for a person who has tbeen involved with alcohol and drug abuse is a facility which provides continuous support and help for individuals in recovery. A group home is ordinarily for troubled youth, but there are also group homes for people with a mental health problem or who are encountering behavioral trouble for example. Instead of sending individuals who are experiencing drug abusedrug use or recovering from drug abuse to an orphanage, asylum and other similar place, a group home may help provide an acceptable environment to help individuals maintain stability inside their lives and still have counsel and support within reach 24/7. Residents inside a group home may be involved in rehabilitation services whilst in residence, or could be taking steps to get their life set up outside of the group home to enable them to at one point live independently not in the group home.
