Medicare is a type of health care insurance designed by the government for older persons, along with those that have certain disabilities and sicknesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The one catch is, the person will have to obtain treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence treatment, they may also have to visit their medical doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehab providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual needs to be hospitalized for his or her issue, along with the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
