Dual diagnosis rehabs are centers which deliver rehab to handle both mental health and addiction issues at the same time. Rehabilitation counselors will continue to work to recognize environmental factors in the client's life such as negative relationships or other things which need to be addressed in order for the individual to remain mentally stable and abstinen t when they depart dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral treatment which will help them develop far better coping methods so they are better able to handle life situations better after they leave dual diagnosis rehab instead of returning to drugs as a possible option.
