Medicare is a type of medical health insurance developed by the U.S. government for seniors, in addition to people who have specific disabilities and diseases. When someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only exception is, the individual must acquire treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence treatment, they will also have to visit their physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve which kind of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual has to be in a hospital for his or her issue, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
