Medicare is a type of medical health insurance developed by the federal government for senior citizens, as well as people who have certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The one exception is, the person will need to obtain treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehab, they may also have to see their doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the doctor will usually approve what sort of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual should be hospitalized because of their issue, along with the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
