Hearing impaired individuals generally have an increased risk of drug abuse issues because of their impairment, and rehab services have to be available which serves their needs. However, drug and alcohol rehabilitation counselors who provide treatment to hearing impaired individuals see the challenges these clients face. ASL rehabilitation services are definitely a must, as are rehab services which address the particular challenges that hearing impaired individuals encounter.
