Medicaid is a health insurance available for many people who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government provided insurance. Whether somebody qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon their earnings however, and individuals shouldn't assume they don't qualify just because they make an acceptable income. For instance, people who have many dependents may be eligible for Medicaid even when they make what would be described as a fair income. Medicaid may also cover the expense of rehab, if a person has been abusing alcohol or drugs and requires rehab. There are several drug and alcohol treatment centers which accept Medicaid, but different states have different rules for what types of treatment are covered. Some states only cover outpatient rehabilitation services for example while other states cover far more extensive rehab say for example a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility. If anyone is involved in drug use and needs help, they are able to use their Medicaid health coverage to get this help. If they don't have Medicaid plus don't have the money or another form of medical health insurance to pay for rehabilitation, they could determine if they qualify for Medicaid and then sign up for an alcohol and drug treatment facility that is approved inside their state.
