Medicare is a type of medical health insurance created by the U.S. government for seniors, in addition to people with certain disabilities and sicknesses. If someone who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The one catch is, the person must obtain treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they can also get to visit their physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve what sort of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of treatment providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual should be hospitalized for their problem, along with the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
