Medicaid is a health insurance available for individuals who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government funded insurance coverage. Whether or not a person is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend on their earnings however, and individuals shouldn't presume they don't qualify because they make a fair income. For instance, people who have many dependents may qualify for Medicaid even if they make what might be described as a reasonable income. Medicaid could also cover the price of treatment, when someone has been abusing alcohol or drugs and requires treatment. There are several drug treatment facilities which accept Medicaid, but various states have distinct guidelines for what sorts of rehab are covered. Some states only include outpatient rehabilitation services as an example while other states cover more extensive rehabilitation like a residential stay in long-term alcohol and drug rehab center. If a person is involved with drug abuse and needs help, they are able to use their Medicaid health coverage to obtain this help. If they don't have Medicaid and also don't have the money or some other form of health care insurance to pay for treatment, they can find out if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then enroll in an alcohol and drug rehab program that is approved in their state.
