Medicare is a form of health insurance developed by the government for seniors, as well as people who have certain disabilities and diseases. When someone that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only real exception is, the individual must acquire treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their physician who must state that treatment services are medically needed, and the doctor will generally approve what type of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment solutions. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual must be hospitalized because of their issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
