Medicare is a type of health insurance developed by the federal government for older folks, in addition to individuals with specific disabilities and illnesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only exception is, the person must acquire treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehabilitation, they can also get to visit their doctor who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual should be in a hospital for his or her issue, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
