Firstly, detecting an alcohol and drug abuse problem among the hearing impaired is generally a challenge, as these individuals may try to hide their issue because of social stigmas that come with drug abuse. However, drug rehabilitation counselors who provide rehabilitation to hearing impaired individuals see the challenges these clients face. ASL rehab services are definitely a must, as well as rehab services which address the unique challenges that hearing impaired individuals encounter. Group therapy offers a venue for important peer interactions in order that rehab clients can know that they're not on their own, and that there is hope to handle their challenge with alcohol and drugs. Individual therapy services might be more tailored for each individual so that their own personal problems can be addressed in rehabilitation.
