Medicare is a type of medical insurance designed by the federal government for senior citizens, in addition to individuals with specific disabilities and sicknesses. When someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The only catch is, the individual must receive treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehab, they may also have to visit their doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the doctor will typically approve what sort of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual should be in a hospital for his or her issue, along with the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
