Medicare is a form of medical health insurance developed by the government for older persons, in addition to people with specific disabilities and diseases. When someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only catch is, the person will have to receive treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence rehabilitation, they will also have to see their doctor who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual must be hospitalized for their problem, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they've got to self pay.
