TRICARE is health care insurance that's provided to individuals in the armed forces of the United States. Drug and alcohol use within the military is more common than one would assume, and the need to provide treatment to these individuals is a crucial priority. TRICARE covers a number of treatment services to address alcohol and drug dependence including detoxification services, in addition to treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. People who have TRICARE will obviously have to have a prior approval before partaking in any sort of rehab service, which is often arranged with their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient center is the preferred rehabilitation choice, TRICARE will cover a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in this particular center per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits about how long a TRICARE member can stay within an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30 to 45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy that may be very useful, as it could help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery. No person in the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are professional treatment counselors ready to assist you today.
