Medicare is a form of medical insurance created by the U.S. government for older persons, along with people who have certain disabilities and sicknesses. If someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The one catch is, the individual will have to receive treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin treatment, they can also get to visit their physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the physician will usually approve what sort of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual must be in a hospital for their issue, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment inside a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
