Medicaid is a health care insurance available for many people who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to acquire this government provided insurance. Whether a person is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend on their earnings however, and people shouldn't assume they don't qualify just because they earn a fair income. There are many alcohol and drug treatment centers which accept Medicaid, but different states have different guidelines for what types of rehab are covered. Some states only include outpatient rehabilitation services as an example while other states cover more intensive rehab say for example a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. If somebody is involved in drug use and wants help, they are able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to obtain this treatment. If they don't have Medicaid plus don't have the money or any other form of medical health insurance to cover treatment, they can see if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center that is approved inside their state.
