Medicare is a type of medical health insurance created by the U.S. government for seniors, along with people with certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The one exception is, the person must acquire treatment from your drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to commence rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the doctor will generally approve which kind of rehabilitation the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual should be hospitalized because of their problem, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
