Medicare is a form of health insurance created by the federal government for older persons, along with people who have specific disabilities and diseases. When someone who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The only real exception is, the individual will have to receive treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence rehab, they will also have to visit their doctor who must state that treatment services are medically essential, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of treatment services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual needs to be in a hospital because of their problem, as well as the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
