Medicaid is a type of health insurance available for many people who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to acquire this government funded insurance coverage. Whether a person qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend on their earnings however, and individuals shouldn't presume they don't qualify just because they make a good income. For instance, people who have a lot of dependents may be entitled to Medicaid even if they make what would be considered a sensible income. There are lots of alcohol and drug rehab facilities which accept Medicaid, but different states have different guidelines for what forms of treatment are covered. Certain states only cover outpatient treatment services for example while other states cover more intensive rehabilitation like a residential stay in long-term drug rehab center. If somebody is involved with drug abuse and wants help, they are able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to get this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid and also don't have the money or some other form of medical health insurance to pay for rehabilitation, they can see if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for a drug treatment program that is approved within their state.
