TRICARE is health insurance that is provided to people in the armed forces of the United States. Drug abuse inside the military is a lot more common than one would assume, and the need to provide rehab to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers a variety of treatment services to handle drug and alcohol dependence including detoxification services, along with treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. Individuals with TRICARE will obviously need to have a prior authorization before partaking in any kind of treatment service, which can be arranged using a regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient center is the preferred rehab option, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in such a center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits as to how much time a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30-45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which is often very beneficial, as it can help include family members in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should fight this battle alone, and there are expert treatment counselors standing by to help you today.
