Medicare is a form of health insurance developed by the federal government for older persons, and also individuals with certain disabilities and illnesses. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only catch is, the individual will have to obtain treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin treatment, they will also have to see their medical doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what sort of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual should be hospitalized for issue, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
