Dual diagnosis rehabs are programs which provide rehab to deal with both mental health and addiction issues concurrently. Rehab counselors will continue to work to spot environmental issues in the client's life including negative people in their lives or other things which have to be addressed in order for the person to remain mentally stable and sober t after they leave dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also reap the benefits of behavioral rehabilitation which will help them develop more efficient coping mechanisms so they are better able to handle life situations better once they depart dual diagnosis rehab rather than returning to alcohol and drugs as a possible solution.
