Medicare is a form of medical insurance designed by the federal government for older persons, as well as individuals with certain disabilities and sicknesses. If someone who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The one exception is, the person will have to obtain treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to commence treatment, they will also have to visit their medical doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically essential, and the doctor will generally approve what sort of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual must be in a hospital for their issue, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
