Offering gender-specific treatment services has proven very useful in situations where traditional rehab facilities have not meet expectations, for example coping with situations in the women's life that are unique and painful. Such issues may have to do with sexual abuse, physical abuse, mental abuse, eating disorders, one's family and motherhood, or any other serious issues that are specific to women. Research shows that women could also get involved in drug abuse more easily than men, and so are more vulnerable to illness because of addiction issues than males as a result.
