A group home for a person who has been involved in alcohol and drug abuse is a place which offers continuous support and help for individuals in recovery. A group home is typically for troubled youth, but there are also group homes for individuals with a mental health problem or who are experiencing behavioral trouble for example. Instead of sending people who are experiencing drug abusedrug use or recovering from drug abuse to an orphanage, asylum or any other similar place, a group home may help offer an acceptable environment to help maintain stability inside their lives and have counsel and assistance at their fingertips around the clock.
