Medicare is a form of medical insurance created by the U.S. government for older persons, in addition to individuals with certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs rehab for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The one exception is, the individual must acquire treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin treatment, they can also get to see their doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the doctor will typically approve which kind of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of treatment services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual must be in a hospital because of their problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
