Medicare is a type of medical health insurance created by the U.S. government for senior citizens, and also those that have specific disabilities and sicknesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will either be covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only real exception is, the individual will need to obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehabilitation, they will also have to see their physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of treatment services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual should be in a hospital for his or her problem, along with the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
