Medicare is a type of health care insurance developed by the federal government for seniors, and also those that have specific disabilities and diseases. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The one exception is, the individual will need to receive treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin rehab, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the physician will usually approve what type of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual must be hospitalized for his or her issue, as well as the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
